Book a fingerprint appointment at SAFE NT

Important information

  • If you need to visit the SAFE NT customer service centre in Darwin for a fingerprint check, you can book your appointment online.
  • You'll be asked to provide your name, email and mobile phone number.
  • Your application must be completed prior to your appointment, otherwise we may cancel your appointment.
  • The identification requirements are listed on the application form. You can also check the list of requirements below.

Appointment types

  • National Police Checks with fingerprint validation.
  • Checks required as part of NT Police recruitment, such as PF166 Authority to Release Criminal History.
  • Ink fingerprints needed for another purpose such as a visa or interstate police recruitment.

Make a booking

Start now

You can choose from a list of available times up to 6 months in advance. If no times are available, it means all appointments have been booked. You should check back again later.

Multiple appointments

You're allowed 2 bookings per person, per day. If you need multiple appointments, including family or group bookings, call 1800 723 368.

We'll confirm your appointment via email and SMS.

ID documents you will need

You'll need to bring hard copies of your original ID documents to the appointment.

Applicants must bring original and hard copy documents that equal at least 100 points from the list below.

The documents must be current or valid and at least 1 must be a type of photo ID from category A.
