Apply for a plant import permit

Important information

You may need a permit to import plant products and agricultural equipment into the NT.
There are unique requirements for the importation of some products. Make sure you are familiar with the rules before you apply.
You’ll need to supply a certificate from the exporter for the state or territory you are exporting from before your permit can be approved.

This takes about 10 minutes.

All steps must be completed in one go. You can't save your request and complete it at a later stage.

A permit costs $40. The fee is currently waived for hay and other fodder permits.
