Renew a security licence

Important information

  • Renew your licence before it expires. You can submit an application up to 3 months before the expiry date.
  • Submit a criminal history check, also known as a national police check, before applying. Find out how by reading police checks for licensing.
  • You’ll need to attach the results of your criminal history check to your licence application. If you don't, your application won't be processed until the results are provided.
  • Also check that your qualifications, including first aid, are current.

New users

You’ll be prompted to register for Licensing NT if you haven’t used the system before.

Once you register, make sure you link any existing licences to your profile by contacting Occupational Licensing.

Payment options

There is a renewal fee. You can pay when you apply online using a Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card.
