Apply to transfer vehicles to a motor vehicle dealership

Important information

Licensed motor vehicle dealers (LMVDs) can apply to transfer vehicle ownership in bulk. You can transfer up to 10 NT‑registered vehicles at a time.
This must be done no later than 14 days after a vehicle has been purchased.
Only use this online service if you can't transfer the vehicles via MVR for Business.
You'll need the dealership's MVR Customer ID as well the seller's name, address and date of birth.
The seller’s details must match the certificate of registration for each vehicle. If the seller is not the last registered owner, the transfer cannot be processed.

This takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

All steps must be completed in one go. You can't save your application and complete it at a later stage.

Payment options

There is a fee. After you apply, MVR will contact you to arrange payment.

Stamp duty

MVR will calculate any stamp duty owed. If you're eligible for an exemption, you can request one. You do not need to complete a separate stamp duty exemption form if you use this service.
