Get a free year added to your driver licence

Important information

Existing NT driver licence holders who don’t need a new licence photo can have their licence extended for 12 months for free.
Apply before 30 June 2025. You’ll need your existing driver licence number.
You must either have an open NT licence or be moving to an open NT licence from a provisional or interim licence.
Your new licence will be posted to you. If your mailing address has changed, make sure to update your details before you apply.

This takes about 5 minutes.

Payment

This is a free service. If you choose to renew for longer than a year, you'll pay a reduced fee - the first year will be free.
