Apply for mutual recognition of an interstate pest technician licence

Important information

  • You can apply to have your interstate licence recognised in the NT.
    • Mutual recognition - recognising your interstate licence and working permanently in the NT with an NT licence.
    • Automatic mutual recognition - recognising your interstate licence and allowing you to temporarily work from that licence in the NT.
  • You’ll need to provide details and attach a copy of your interstate pest management technician licence and ID.
  • You can verify an Australian ID document online. This service checks existing government records to match your driver licence, passport, birth certificate or visa.
  • If you’re using schedule 7 substances, you’ll need to provide pesticide and storage details.

Payment options

There is a licence fee for mutual recognition. You can pay online using a Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card.

You can also pay the fee by contacting the Receiver of Territory Monies (RTM). You have 90 days to pay, before your application is cancelled. Once paid, email a copy of the receipt to poisonscontrol@nt.gov.au.

There is no fee for automatic mutual recognition of your interstate pest management technician licence.
