Apply for a Working with Children Clearance

If you work or volunteer with children in the NT you must have a Working with Children Clearance.
Your clearance, also known as an Ochre Card, needs to be renewed every 2 years.
You’ll need to attach copies of your identity documents and a passport photo to your application.
Volunteers get a reduced fee if they attach a completed volunteer concession form.

If you have previously held a Working with Children Clearance, you should check the validity of your clearance before you re-apply.

If you're waiting for an outcome, you can also check the progress of your application.

This takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

All steps must be completed in one go. You can't save your application and complete it at a later stage.

The application fee is $89. This is reduced to $8 for volunteers. Pay online using a Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card.
