Renew your commercial vehicle licence

Important information

Commercial vehicle licences for taxis, rideshare vehicles, minibuses, motor omnibuses, tourist vehicles, private hire cars and other commercial passenger vehicles can be renewed online.
The vehicle must be registered in the NT.
You’ll need to provide your commercial vehicle licence (CVL) number and your Australian business number (ABN).

This takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Payment options

If your application is approved, you must pay a licence fee and additional motor accident compensation insurance as part of the vehicle registration.

You’ll receive an email with a link to pay online using a Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card.
