Apply to use your vehicle for ridesharing

Important information

Any vehicle used for ridesharing needs a commercial vehicle licence (CVL).
If the vehicle isn’t registered in your name, you’ll need written permission from the owner.
The vehicle will need to meet maximum age requirements, maintenance standards and have a roadworthy inspection less than 6 weeks before you apply.

This takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Payment options

If your application is approved, you must pay an annual licence fee and additional motor accident compensation insurance as part of the vehicle registration.

You’ll receive an email with a link to pay online using a Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card.
