Important information

  • Workers undertaking high risk activities in the NT need an appropriate high risk work licence.
  • To apply in the NT you must be either an NT resident or an eligible fly in/fly out (FIFO) worker.
  • All applicants need to attach an assessment report from an accredited NT assessor that has been issued in the last 60 days.
  • You’ll need to provide 3 ID documents. Check the types accepted below.
  • A passport-style photo is also needed for the card. You can take it using your smartphone, but it must meet the photo requirements.

You'll need 3 identity documents. At least 1 must be a common Australian identity document.

  • General construction induction card (white card)
  • Firearms licence
  • Student ID card
  • Rates or utilities notice
  • Private health insurance card
  • Photo ID card showing you are a Commonwealth, state or territory government employee
  • Aviation or maritime security ID card
  • Identity document issued by an Aboriginal land council that has your photograph

Payment options

There is a fee. Pay online using a Mastercard or Visa credit or debit card.
